Ever wanted to deepen your understanding of spiritual counselling or
put it in context of other therapeutic approaches? Or wanted to know the truth that sits at the heart of all therapy or understand
the roots of counselling and psychotherapy?
Or maybe you would be interested in listening to and experiencing different
approaches to healing, counselling and/or therapy. Or do you feel you would like more time to explore, counsel and work
with such issues as Suicide, Bereavement, Mental Health, Addiction, Abuse and Self Harm.

Through the wisdom and experiene of specially invited speakers, specifically
facilitated group work and focused spiritual holding, counselling and practice, you will expand your capacity to spiritually
hold others (to give Service) and deepen your awareness of the process of healing (Oneness).
Course
Intentions
To set spiritual holding/counselling in the context of other therapeutic approaches.
To inspire confidence in the use of spiritual holding/counselling as a way of serving humanity.
To encourage
continuous professional development amongst Ministers and Spiritual Counsellors.
Course Content
This is a seven session personal development postgraduate course which is both practical (deals with complex
issues like suicide and addiction) and Experiential (gives a personal experience of the different approaches to therapy).
Session One.
The first day is an introduction to the course which sets the scene by revisiting the spiritual
counselling model, and placing it in context of other approaches to counselling and psychotherapy. It also looks at individual's
expectations and addresses issues of supervision, ethics and confidentiality.
Session Two
A Cognitive
Analytical Psychotherapist (Simon Armson) talks about why he favours this approach, what the key concepts are, when to refer
and gives an experience of his approach. In the afternoon we look at the practical and legal issues of addiction, practise
spiritual holding/counselling by addressing "What am I addicted to?" and hold a group supervision session.

Session three.
A Dance Therapist (Sonya Leite) talks about
her experiences, the key concepts she works with and gives an experience of Nia. In the afternoon we look at the practical
and legal issues of Suicide, practise spiritual holding/counselling by addressing "Where do I kill my connection to God/Spirit?"
and hold a group supervision session.
Session four.
An NLP Therapist (Avril Carson) talks about
how she uses NLP, the tools she works with and gives an experience of how to deal with phobias. In the afternoon we look
at issues of Self Harm, practise spiritual holding/counselling by addressing "Where am I not looking after myself?"
and hold a group supervision session.
Session five.
A Transactional Analysis Psychotherapist (Dr Josie
Gregory) talks about her experiences with TA, the key concepts, when they are useful and leads group work using the approach.
In the afternoon we look at the issue of Abuse, practise spiritual holding/counselling by addressing " What are my anger
issues?" and hold a group supervision session.
Session six.
A Gestalt Therapist (Lynda Osborne)
talks about why she uses this approach, the key concepts, when to refer and gives an experience of Gestalt. In the afternoon
we look at Bereavement, then practise spiritual holding/counselling by addressing "Where am I grieving?" and hold
a group supervision session.
Session seven.
We review the course and its approaches, address at the
issue of Emotional Health, assess our own emotional health, look at the role of Endings from both a personal and
theraputic perspective and concluded the course.
There is no written work for the course but delegates will
be expected to hold telephone peer supervision sessions with one other person on the course.
Fees
2010's Deepening our Truth fees are £350 for all seven sessions. Concessions
may be available.
